Nov. 26-27, 2010 – 30th Annual Dickens of a Christmas: Home for the Holidays

Downtown McKinney’s premier festival, the 30th annual Dickens of a Christmas: Home for the Holidays is right around the corner. An old fashioned Christmas festival with horse drawn carriages, strolling carolers, visits with Santa Claus, the Christmas tree lighting ceremony and activities for all ages. More Details

Dec. 3, 2010 – 16th Annual Arlington Nativity Display

To celebrate the holidays, the Arlington Texas Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will present its annual nativity display which revolves around the symbols of Christmas. More Details

Dec. 3-4, 2010 – Candlelight Tour of Homes

Candlelight Tour of Homes Tour 20 Historic Homes in Granbury, Texas. These homes are in the historic district and will be all decked out in their Christmas finery! More Details

Dec. 3-4, 2010 – Dallas Ballet Company’s The Nutcracker

The Dallas Ballet Company presents its annual production of the holiday favorite. The performance features members of the DBC, students of Dallas Ballet Center, Pacific Northwest Ballet soloist Sarah Ricard Orza, and PNB principal dancer Seth Orza. More Details

Dec. 3, 2010 – A Big Band Christmas Classics Concert

Live music entertainment comes to Christ Church this Christmas. John Wasson and his Strata Big Band kick off the season with the church’s vocal team for a Big Band Christmas Classics concert. More Details

Dec. 4, 2010 – Fair Park Holiday

Coinciding with the White Rock Marathon Health & Fitness Expo, free family-fun holiday festival to feature spectacular fireworks from the rooftops, crafts at Santa’s Workshop, The 500, Inc. Holiday Gift Market, free museum visits,
the official City of Dallas tree-lighting, plus “dancing water” shows at the Esplanade Fountain and much more. More Details

Dec. 4, 2010 – Children’s Medical Center Holiday Parade

Your favorite Lite-FM personalities will be at the Children’s Medical Center Holiday Parade presented by Capital One Bank on Saturday, Dec. 4th in downtown Dallas. The parade raises money to help the hundreds of thousands of patients served by Children’s Medical Center each year. More Details

Dec. 4, 2010 – Holly Jolly Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair

Gunter Area Chamber of Commerce presents Holly Jolly Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair, a fun filled day of vendor booths with craft and gift items, free pictures with Santa, food and drinks full of holiday cheer, and a parade with lighted floats and tractors. More Details

Dec. 8 – 9, 2010 – A Holiday Special

Ballet Concerto presents A Holiday Special at Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth. The performance will consist of 3 ballets: Swingin’ Into The Holidays, The Christmas Grump, and O Holy Night. Swingin’ Into The Holidays is a toe tapping medley of holiday music. More Details

Dec. 9, 2010 – Christmas on the Square

Come watch the city of Garland attempt to set a new record for the world’s largest cup of hot chocolate at the city’s annual Christmas on the Square festival! More Details

Dec. 9-10, 2010 – The Gift of Christmas

Prestonwood presents The Gift  of Christmas, a visually stunning, multimedia event complete with flying angels, massive virtual scenery, a thousand voices and instruments, and dazzling choreography. More Details

Dec. 11, 2010 – Christmas Country Dog Events

Living Christmas History Reenactment all day–watch real shepherds and their dogs with a large flock of sheep on the hillside. More Details

Dec. 11-12, 2010 – The Promise of Christmas

Four Free performances will be offered, as well as pictures with Santa, performances by local music artists, and much, much more. The music-filled, inspirational  Broadway-style presentation of events surrounding the birth of Christ will provide families with a fun reminder of the true meaning of Christmas. More Details

Dec. 22, 2010 – Dallas Jingle Bell Run

Get your bells on for the 2010 Dallas Jingle Bell Run benefiting Trinity Strand Trail and Mavericks Foundation on December 22nd! The Hilton Anatole will host the event and we will follow the race with fun, food and festivities! More Details
