"Glee" Star John Stamos Defeats Extortionists
John Stamos is an actor, musician and… legal mastermind? E! Online reports, a Michigan couple accused of attempting to extort the current “[lastfm]Glee[/lastfm]” guest star have been found guilty. Today they were sentenced to four years in a Michigan prison. The verdict is, in part, thanks to Jesse Katsopolis himself.
According to E!, Allison Coss, 24, and her boyfriend Scott Sippola, 31, threatened to sell incriminating photos of Stamos cavorting with strippers and using cocaine. They demanded $680,000 for their silence. Stamos turned in the couple to the authorities and denied the existence of the photos. Today U.S. District Judge R. Allan Edgar sided with Stamos and sentenced the duo to jail. While they originally expected less than two years, they were hit with four years in the pen.
The legal debacle has done little to harm the resurgence in career opportunities for Stamos. He is currently guest starring on “Glee” as and has announced plans for producing a big screen Beach Boys musical. Check out a clip from his first episode below.
