“American Idol” is holding its first-ever online auditions , the New York Post reported Thursday.[pullquote quote="should demonstrate their stellar singing ability "]

“Idol” wannabes between the ages of 15 and 28 can now submit an audition for the show — celebrating its 10th year — on myspace.com until October 6.

Entrants “should demonstrate their stellar singing ability by performing one of the songs from the approved list a capella,” according to a press released issued Wednesday by Fox.

Myspace.com/americanidol has more information, including the “approved” song list and the terms and conditions of the video submission process.

There’s a video of “Idol” host [lastfm]Ryan Seacrest [/lastfm]on the site, explaining what it’s all about.

“Idol” is yet to announce its full judges lineup after [lastfm]Ellen DeGeneres[/lastfm], [lastfm]Simon Cowell[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Kara DioGuardi [/lastfm]leaf the high-rating series.

Aerosmith singer [lastfm]Steven Tyler[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Jennifer Lopez [/lastfm]have been tipped join [lastfm]Randy Jackson[/lastfm] in the new series of the show, which begins airing in January.

Fox and MySpace are both owned by News Corp. which also owns NewsCore.
