It’s no secret that “Family Guy” creator Seth McFarlane has a soft spot for musicals. Now expect a show tunes album out soon.
During the animated show’s run, he’s managed to reference everything from “The Sound of Music” to producing full on parodies of the “Road to…” comedy films that starred [lastfm]Bing Crosby[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Bob Hope[/lastfm].
But now McFarlane is taking his love one step further by cutting a record of 40s and 50s show tunes, reports the New York Daily News.
Don’t expect any funny business on the album. The tunes will be faithful covers of works from Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, and other famed composers.
