Time to slowdown for the lowdown

“The Bachelor” winner Vienna Girardi had her heart broken by her onetime fiancé, Jake Pavelka. Naturally, the next question many people have is how she might exact her revenge. Girardi told Star magazine she was going to take to Playboy magazine to show Pavelka what he was missing, suggesting that she hoped to make $250,000 for a pictorial in the magazine.  She said, “The Bachelor didn’t pay me a dime, and I ran through my savings living with Jake. I need the money. Not so, said Playboy. “We are not in negotiations with her and have not made her an offer,” said a rep for the magazine, who spoke to Us Weekly.   In a press release for the July 5th reunion episode, ABC says, “Vienna calls Jake ‘a liar’ and ‘a fame whore.’ Jake feels Vienna always undermines him and tears him down. They face off about who broke up with whom. Vienna defends herself against allegations of infidelity.”

Derek Hough’s girlfriend, British pop star Cheryl Cole, is reportedly considering participating on Dancing With the Stars. Cheryl is considering joining season 12 of the hit, because the upcoming season would conflict with her duties on the X Factor.   “Her US team think it will be a great move for her and increase her profile stateside. Partnering her with Derek too would be a masterstroke and they want her to give it serious thought.”

Michael Jackson’s brother Jermaine has said that the late pop icon would not be happy if he knew about his children’s new found freedom. He told Britain’s Hello Magazine that MJ wouldn’t like the fact that his kids, Prince Michael,13, Paris, 12 and eight-year-old Blanket are set to attend school and are allowed to leave the house without wearing a veil. He said, “A lot of things he wouldn’t like. He didn’t want them to be all over the media, he wanted them to have a normal life, and it was hard with him so famous.”  But Jermaine says that the change is a good thing for the kids. He said, “They have to fit into society at some point, to become citizens . . . They’re going to go to a private school with other kids and know what it’s like to have a friend. Absolutely. It’s the best for them.”

Larry King is leaving CNN in the fall, and it doesn’t matter that HE wants Ryan Seacrest to replace him.  CNN is about to give his timeslot to America’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan.  Morgan has been negotiating with CNN for weeks and the $10 million deal is “all but inked.”  Although it was previously reported that Piers would retain his America’s Got Talent gig, but quit the British version of the show, Morgan will likely say goodbye to both to focus on his CNN show. “America’s Got Talent finishes in mid-September. That is perfect timing to coincide with Larry’s retirement and allow Piers to take over.”
