Time to slowdown for the lowdown…

Marc Cherry just picked up one heck of a souvenir in New York City. He met with Vanessa Williams and closed a deal for her to come to Wisteria Lane next season as a series regular. “I’m a big fan of Vanessa’s work and I’m so excited that she’ll be moving into the neighborhood next season to cause trouble in all the ladies’ lives,” says Marc. But don’t expect Vanessa to be at the center of next season’s big mystery. “I think our mystery is going to involve Mary Alice’s husband Paul Young returning back to the Lane.”

Producers of Glee have confirmed that they have a second Madonna episode is in the works.  “We’re doing a sequel to the Madonna episode,” producer Ryan Murphy told Access Hollywood.  On speculation the Material Girl may appear, Murphy commented: “I can’t say. But she’s sort of the muse of our show. She loves the show and has supported it. She gets that the show is about arts education and so she’s very supportive about that.”

Lady Gaga is so passionate about fashion that she reportedly applied for an internship with hat designer Philip Treacy. U.K.’s Vogue reports that she wants to create her unique headwear and decided to apply after working with Treacy on a few headpieces she has worn in concert. A Treacy spokesperson says, “The request came through quite a while ago. They get on well and she has applied for an internship although nothing has been confirmed yet.”  Meanwhile, a source tells UsMagazine.com that Gaga wants a challenge, explaining, “Gaga is sick of her own songs by now. That’s why she keeps changing her songs, costumes, sets, everything she does on each leg of the tour. She gets bored easily.”‘

The drams that IS Lindsay Lohan continues, and she might be headed for the grey bar hotel.  Lindsay claims someone stole her passport in Cannes. Lindsay claims she actually went to the airport yesterday trying to get on a flight without a passport but was denied boarding. We’re told she had a reservation on the flight so she could make it back to L.A. for tomorrow’s mandatory court hearing.  Sources tell TMZ Lindsay has made an appointment with the U.S. Embassy tomorrow at 9 AM to get another passport so she can fly home.  As for the court hearing, Judge Marsha Revel has said she will issue a warrant for Lindsay’s arrest if she doesn’t show up at 8:30 AM. But Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, tells TMZ, “I was on the phone with Lindsay’s assistant the entire night and we’re doing everything we can to resolve this issue and get her back to L.A.”
