Why the Beatles aren’t on iTunes
Sir [lastfm]Paul McCartney [/lastfm]has blamed record label EMI for the delay in getting the [lastfm]Beatles[/lastfm]‘ music on iTunes.IN an interview with BBC Newsbeat he said, “To tell you the truth I don’t actually understand how it’s got so crazy. I know iTunes would like to do it, so one day it’s going to happen.
“It’s been business hassles. Not with us, or iTunes. It’s the people in the middle, the record label. There have been all sorts of reasons why they don’t want to do it.”
EMI did however reply, claiming that they are continuing negotiations and would be enthused to see the band’s music available to buy online.
In a statement , the company said, “Discussions are ongoing. We would love to see the Beatles’ music available for sale digitally.”
